Museum of Modern Art | Machynlleth
The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in Powys is a must-see for art and culture lovers alike.
The MOMA sits beside The Tabernacle - a centre for the Performing Arts, converted from a chapel in the mid-1880s. The museum contains seven stunning exhibition spaces, each showcasing Modern Welsh Art.
Leading Welsh artists are often exhibited, with entries from the Tabernacle Art Competition also being put on display in August. The contents of the MOMA is constantly changing, making it an exciting place to visit again and again.
If you're visiting during August, you'll also get the chance to immerse yourself in The Machynlleth Festival. It's a week-long event, with many music and reading performances put on show.
Unbelievable, admission is free for one and all, making MOMA an unmissable cheap day.
